Δεν έχει περάσει καιρός από τότε που γύρισα από ένα ταξίδι αλλιώτικο από τα’ άλλα, ένα ταξίδι από το οποίο γύρισα διαφορετικός, καλύτερος από πριν. Αναφέρομαι στο ταξίδι στο Nagu της Φινλανδίας για την συμμετοχή μου στο πρόγραμμα ανταλλαγής νέων με τίτλο « Independent Friends Go Archipelago ». Τώρα που το πρόγραμμα έχει ολοκληρωθεί κι εγώ έχω επιστρέψει στη πατρίδα μου, μπορώ με σιγουριά να διηγηθώ την εμπειρία αυτή μέσα από τη δική μου ματιά.

Αρχικά, οι ιθύνοντες του προγράμματος έκαναν τη διαμονή μας εκεί να μοιάζει περισσότερο με φιλοξενία από κάποιο στενό οικογενειακό μας μέλος. Κατάφεραν από την πρώτη κιόλας στιγμή να μας κάνουν να αισθανθούμε άνετα και οικεία τόσο με τους χώρους και τις εγκαταστάσεις όσο και με τους ίδιους. Η οργάνωση σε όλους τους τομείς ήταν τουλάχιστον άψογη. Φρόντισαν να εκπληρώσουν κάθε μας προσδοκία και να φύγουμε όλοι με τις καλύτερες εντυπώσεις. Μάλιστα, στα πλαίσια της γνωριμίας μας με την φινλανδική κουλτούρα μας προσέφεραν μέχρι και επίσκεψη σε σάουνα.

Παράλληλα, με τη Φινλανδική κουλτούρα γνωρίσαμε κι άλλες τέσσερις. Αναφέρομαι, φυσικά, στις άλλες τέσσερις χώρες που συμμετείχαν στο πρόγραμμα. Ήρθαμε σε επαφή με άτομα ενδιαφέροντα, ξεχωριστά από εμάς που όλοι όμως, μοιραζόμασταν την ίδια δίψα για νέες γνώσεις και θέληση για κοινωνικοποίηση. Μπορεί να ταξιδέψαμε σε μια μόνο χώρα, αλλά φεύγοντας από τη Φινλανδία ένιωσα πως είχα κάνει και μια στάση από Τσεχία, Πορτογαλία, Τουρκία και Ελβετία.

Βέβαια, τίποτα δεν θα ήταν το ίδιο χωρίς την παρέα μου, με την οποία ξεκινήσαμε για το ταξίδι μαζί. Τα μέλη της ελληνικής αποστολής αποτέλεσαν την πιο ευχάριστη έκπληξη. Δεν αρκεστήκαμε σε τυπικές σχέσεις μεταξύ μας αλλά γίναμε πολύ γρήγορα οι καλύτεροι φίλοι. Εντυπωσιακό ήταν πως όσοι μας συναναστρέφονταν κατά την διάρκεια του προγράμματος, είχαν την αίσθηση πως η φιλία μεταξύ μας μετρά πολλά χρόνια. Κάπου εδώ, δεν θα μπορούσα να μην αναφερθώ και στην αρχηγό της ομάδας, την Έλενα, που ένωσε αυτή τη παρέα και την κράτησε δεμένη μέχρι τέλους. Με τις κατάλληλες συμβουλές και καθοδηγήσεις της καταφέραμε να φέρνουμε εις πέρας όποια εργασία μας είχε ανατεθεί.

Τέλος, ευχαριστώ ειλικρινά την Youth Horizons που μου χάρισε την ευκαιρία να ζήσω μια αξέχαστη εμπειρία στη Φινλανδία. Χάρις στον οργανισμό αυτό γύρισα πίσω στην Ελλάδα με μια βαλίτσα γεμάτη από όμορφες αναμνήσεις και ανυπομονώ να τη φορτώσω ξανά για το επόμενο ταξίδι, κάπου στην Ευρώπη.

I’m Natalia and I participated in the »Independent Friends Go Archipelago-IFGA» project in Νagu, Turku, Finland.

It was an amazing experience that I definitely not regret! I had the chance to meet new people and make longlasting, international friends, learn about the different cultures and explore the breathtaking places in Finland. The whole program was very organised from the very beginning to the last moment, and I didn’t have to face any problems. I had the chance to develop many personal skills such as my self confidence, cultural awareness, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship. The project’s topic (Independence) was really interesting and thankfully a big part of the activities/sessions was based on it, as expeceted. The schedule was well followed and the majority of the activities was accomplished as planned. The hosts/coordinators were friendly and willing to help when needed, the accomodations were proper and the offered food was delicious and various!

I only have positive memories of the whole trip and there is nothing I would change. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to have this special, unforgettable experience. I hope we cooperate again in the future.

Γράφω για να σας ευχαριστήσω για την ευκαιρία που μου δώσατε να παρακολουθήσω το πρόγραμμα IFGA στην Φινλανδία αυτό το καλοκαίρι. Πέρασα πάρα πολύ ωραία και θεωρώ πως διευρύνθηκαν οι ορίζοντες μου μέσω του προγράμματος αυτού εφόσον είχα την ευκαιρία να γνωρίσω άτομα από πολλές και διαφορετικές χώρες, μαθαίνοντας ξεχωριστά στοιχεία για όλες. Για αυτές τις χώρες έμαθα την ιστορία τους και το πως πολέμησαν και τελικά κατέκτησαν την ανεξαρτησία τους μέσω των ιδιαιτέρων και ξεχωριστών δραστηριοτήτων που πραγματοποιήθηκαν κατά τη διάρκεια του προγράμματος. Ακόμα, έμαθα ότι η έννοια της ανεξαρτησίας είναι διαφορετική για το καθέναν από εμάς καθώς επίσης και το πόσο σημαντικό είναι να την σεβόμαστε. Το πρόγραμμα αυτό ήταν μια ανεπανάληπτη εμπειρία και ελπίζω να μου ξαναδωθεί μια τέτοια ευκαιρία.

In August 2017, one year after my first Youth Exchange participation, I found myself in another one, that proved to be just as significant. ‘Independent Friends Go Archipelagos’ in Nagu, Finland. This highly anticipated experience began even earlier for me, having participated in the Advanced Planning Visit in May. The planning of the schedule that seemed to fall into place almost naturally and the good cooperation amongst all teams were definitely foreshadowing the success of the project. In my eyes, this project was unique in the way every national team worked with willingness and took responsibility bringing everyone’s knowledge and best practices into making every session the best possible. The main topic of the exchange, Independence, was approached from three perspectives: European, national and personal independence. Each one opened up an important discussion that broadened our way of thinking and led to a valuable lesson: the realization that no matter our different cultural backgrounds, the hopes, fears, and aspirations of so many young people are very much alike. During the days of the project we discussed, worked together, exchanged ideas, explored our creative talents, tried new things, laughed a lot, met different cultures and learned that being independent doesn’t necessarily mean being alone. In the end, our group of international friends really proved to be independent-together for a week in the beautiful Archipelagos.

Anastasia

I am Anastasia and I have participated recently in Erasmus+ through Youth Horizons. It was educational about the national independence and individual independence. This means that all participant countries presented their historical independence. I also learn about the europian independence and the europian foundations like EU Court of Justice etc. Throug a game we explore the history and the city of Nagu, it was funny, entairtenment and we walked in whole area.

The organizers were too helpful and serviceable. They made an excelent job about the facilities, the food and everything which were needed.

Finally, I will mention the day-off. It was super. We visited Turku (Abo). We saw the sightseeings, we shopped our souvenirs and the hightlight of the day was the sauna which the organizers booked for all participants.

I am wiser than before.It all thanks to this program because for once again I made friends from other countries and I learn their history and their culture.
