🌍 The Voyage Goes On…

The “Voyage goes on… ” was a youth exchange which took place in Nabeul, Tunisia between 11-18 of October 2018. The main aim of the project was to foster a non-formal approach towards tolerance and social inclusion proposing fine art, as a unique common language and tool. The youth involved in this project were from Euro-Med countries, since scenes of racism, intolerance and discrimination, as well as strong movements against new comers, are frequently occurring in these countries. Youth tend to find it hard to apprehend the challenges related to migration and thus, resulting in stereotyping, which is often due to lack of knowledge and awareness on various situations refugees face.

🌍 The Voyage

A multinational Erasmus+ training course that brought together youth workers from Malta, Italy, Turkey, Jordan, Lebanon, Tunisia, Spain, Palestine and Greece on 02-10/04/2018 in Megara, Greece. The activity increased youth workers’ awareness of the reasons behind the journey undertaken by the refugees to come to Europe and the hardships they encounter.

For 8 days youngsters from various backgrounds coexisted, shared thoughts, ideas, experiences & got aware of how to recognize the beneficial offerings of nature. Benchmark of the whole activity was the necessity for psychosomatic balance with flagship the ‘Healthy mind in healthy body’!

The utility of the mobility through Erasmus+ Program discovered together 35 Youth Workers from 8 European countries (Greece, Spain, Italy, Poland, Hungary, Turkey, Lithuania, Estonia) during the Erasmus+ KA1 Training Course ‘Meet the Utility Of ERASMOBILITY’ in Megara, Greece. On 22-30 October 2016 European citizens active in youth-fiend coexisted in a multicultural environment and united their motivation, ideas and skills to empower the European youth-working society.
